Roles & Responsibilities
- Designs, implements, and optimizes gameplay features
- Implements planned game elements using Unreal Engine features
- Quickly validates new gameplay ideas through prototype development
- Develops tools and systems for game designers to work efficiently
- Analyzes and resolves technical issues
- Continuously improves code quality and performance
- Collaborates with other programmers to enhance overall game quality
Qualifications
- 5+ years of game development experience as a 3D gameplay programmer
- Strong C++ programming skills and multi-threading programming capabilities
- Understanding of Unreal Engine gameplay framework with ability to improve and extend it
- Knowledge and skilled application of 3D math, gameplay algorithms, and gameplay optimization
- Understanding of physics-based gameplay and motivation to implement it
- Performance-focused development abilities and intuition, estimation, data-driven optimization techniques
- Self-motivated problem-solving approach and initiative to tackle new challenges
- Objective perspective in evaluating gameplay results
- Readiness for proactive self-development and understanding of evolving game development roles
Bonus Skills
- Experience shipping commercial games using Unreal Engine
- Open world game development experience
- Physics or AI system development experience
- Special talent that can make a difference
- Proficient English or Korean communication skills
- Computer Science or related degree
