SR. QA Automation Engineer at Brij

Brij is a New York-based startup that empowers consumer brands to bridge the gap between physical products and digital experiences through AI-powered QR code technology.
As a SR. QA Automation Engineer you will:
- Own the development and maintenance of automated test suites for both frontend and backend web applications.
- Create and manage end-to-end, integration, API, and regression tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and Jest.
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to define test plans, edge cases, and acceptance criteria for new features.
- Identify bugs and edge cases before release through proactive automation, exploratory testing, and CI/CD integration.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across Brij’s core product flows including rebates, sweepstakes, and data collection.
- Build QA dashboards and reporting systems to monitor release quality, test coverage, and flakiness.
- Continuously evolve Brij’s test architecture to support rapid release cycles.
- Help foster a culture of ownership and accountability across the entire engineering team.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Have 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 3 years focused on automation in modern SaaS environments.
- Are deeply experienced with JavaScript/TypeScript-based testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, and Jest.
- Have hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Have implemented QA pipelines in CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
- Understand frontend/backend architecture, ideally working with React, Node.js, and MongoDB.
- Are comfortable with tools like Jira, Notion, and Linear for tracking bugs and managing test cases.
- Communicate clearly and care deeply about product quality and user experience.
Bonus points if you:
- Have experience with performance or load testing tools like Artillery or k6.
- Have worked in an early-stage startup or SaaS company.
